Martin Handcraft Committee II Tenor Saxophone

$ 1,100.00

Martin Handcraft Committee II Tenor Saxophone.  Serial number 129815 dates this saxophone to 1938.  Previous owner purchased it in 1965, used it in high school and then it has sat untouched for most of the past 50 years.  Most likely, this one was factory relacquered prior to his purchase in 1965.   It is in great structural condition and lacquer / engraving look great.  Lacquer finish is 99%+.  Lacquer has a nice honey color.  There are no repairs and just very tiny dings.  This model features: soldered on tone holes, adjustable thumb hook, the "Standing Lion" engraving, and of course that huge, deep and rich Martin tone.  While this one plays top to bottom, the pads are old and ready to be replaced.  Matching serial number on the neck.  Original case is in good condition.  This would make a great Winter project for someone and with a bit of work, would be a great horn.
